Surrogacy Center in Noida

A healthy pregnancy depends upon various factors and the sound health of the mother is the most important of these. However, if the mother is not healthy enough to carry a child it can result in recurrent miscarriages and stillbirth. Uterine anomalies and underlying medical conditions (like cancer) can hold you back from stepping into the world of parenthood. In such cases where it is medically impossible for the female partner to bear a child, surrogacy is the best family-building solution.
Surrogacy has been prevalent in our society since ancient times but due to the lack of proper knowledge, it was considered to be a social stigma. Over the years, the method has gained immense popularity and acceptance among the masses owing to the fact that a lot of Bollywood celebrities have opted for it. The topic is widely discussed and talked about and has caught the attention of numerous couples. No doubt, the option of adoption is still open but it is a comparatively cumbersome procedure.

Surrogacy is a type of assisted reproductive method in which the intended parents enter into a legal agreement with a surrogate, i.e. a woman who agrees to carry their child to term. It is an option for those couples who are not able to conceive or carry a child on their own due to some underlying health problem.

Types of surrogacy

Surrogacy specialists in Noida broadly classify surrogacy into two types – Traditional surrogacy and Gestational surrogacy.

  • Traditional surrogacy- This involves the artificial insemination of the surrogate mother by the intended father. The baby hence born is related to the former genetically. The procedure, however, is legally banned and India
  • Gestational surrogacy- The ovum and the sperms are collected from the intended mother and father respectively, following which the process of in vitro fertilization is carried out. The embryo, hence formed, is placed in the uterus of the surrogate mother where it grows naturally. In this case, the surrogate mother has no genetic ties to the baby. Although the gestational surrogate is the birth mother, the biological mother is still the woman whose egg was used during fertilization.

Who can opt for surrogacy?

Surrogacy can be opted by women who have an absence of uterus since birth or those with severe health issues like:

  • Uterine anomalies-In a normal pregnancy, the process of fertilization takes part in the fallopian tubes after which the embryo implants in the lining of the uterus, i.e. the endometrium, where it continues to grow till birth. Excessive fibroids and scarring (Asherman syndrome) can damage this lining thereby making it difficult for the woman to conceive or carry a child.
  • Underlying health issues- Surrogacy doctors in Noida suggest that chronic health problems like cardiovascular or renal diseases, can give rise to numerous complications during pregnancy and even pose a serious threat to the expecting mother and the unborn child. Some women also need to take regular medications to manage their health. These can prove to be fatal for the fetus.
  • Uterine cancer and hysterectomy- Hysterectomy refers to the surgical removal of the uterus which is usually a part of treatment for women suffering from uterine and cervical cancer. Since pregnancy is impossible without a uterus, such women are not able to conceive and bear a child. In certain cases, the procedure is performed even before the woman has initiated her reproductive life.
  • Failed attempts at IVF- Although IVF is a highly reliable procedure with a very high success rate, there is a possibility that the procedure might not work for you. While the most common reason behind this is an unhealthy embryo, ovarian response to the Fertility medication and an unhealthy uterus too can add to the problem thereby ruling out the option for you.
  • Multiple miscarriages and problems with previous pregnancy- As per the experts from the top surrogacy center in Noida, for some women, conception might not be a problem but carrying the baby to term is. If you have experienced multiple miscarriages or faced serious problems with previous pregnancies, doctors might rule out the possibility of normal pregnancy.
